WHO IS LUCINA K.? Lucina K. is the grandmother of Artist, Lori Strickland. The line is named as a tribute to her faith and creative spirit. The idea that you can try and accomplish anything were part of Lucina K.’s teaching – along with a healthy dose of cooking, sewing, painting and all manner of crafts. Lucina K. passed away shortly before we launched the line, but she will always be present in spirit. HOW AND WHERE ARE THE PIECES MADE? All pieces in the Lucina K. line begin with a wax sculpture carved by Artist, Lori Strickland. Pieces are “lost wax cast” into either sterling silver or lead-free pewter. Some pieces are then turned into mold masters to reproduce the design. Other pieces, such as the Peas in a Pod, are handmade, one at a time, and each one is an original. After casting, each piece is hand finished by our team of talented artists. All pieces in the Lucina K. line are made in our studio located in Historic Quincy, Florida.
